The aim of the project is to help families affected by the hostilities in Armenia
In December 2020, the Scholae Mundi Charitable Foundation and the Ponimau (I Understand) Support Centre began a programme of free psychological counselling at the Dilijan Community Centre for families affected by the war in Armenia.
The psychologists at Ponimau, who lead the sessions, have many years of experience working with the aftermath of extreme situations, including at the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Moscow Psychological Aid Service. The programme to provide psychological assistance for families who have lost loved ones during the conflict will last indefinitely. Armine Hovhannisyan, President of the Dilijan Community Centre, believes that thanks to the effective and timely assistance, almost all the participants in the sessions have shown a stabilization of their mental state.
We would like to express our huge gratitude to the Ponimau Support Centre, which provides vital support free of charge to the people of Armenia, and to the Dilijan Community Centre, whose staff help find and organise listening groups, receive and process feedback, and provide rooms for classes.
